long time since

It has been a long time since I last posted anything. Josh is doing great in Chili, he arrived there around the 24 of August. He has a Chilean companion. The language is slowly coming.
On Sept 24, I caught a big German brown on the river about 2 miles upstream from the house, We took its picture with a cell phone camera and turned it loose, we estimate it to have been about 12-14 pounds. Great Fun! Kathy and I are both very busy lots of meetings, school work and such. Seems like there is not enough time to do everything that needs to be done. Have had a beautiful crop of sunflowers this year, I use this picture as a screen saver.
I must mention the thousands of Lady Bugs that we have had at our home this year I take pictures of them and send them to Cornell University who is conducting a research project on kinds and distribution. In August Kathy Jo and I went with the youth from our stake to Martins Cove, it was a wonderful experience to spend the time with the youth of our stake. We pulled handcarts for 14 miles one day and it really brought home in a small way the difficulty the saints had in getting across the plains and the great faith they had.

LDS Realationships Conference @ Philmont

We Dropped off Josh at the MTC in Prove on June 24, It was an exciting time for all of us and also a sad time seeing our youngest off on a mission we are now officially empty nesters!

Philmont was an awesome experience, we learned so much about the Aaronic priesthood and scouting, the spirit was strong there and my testimony was strengthened. It was great to be able to spend time with Kathy Jo, She is a wonderful wife. Enjoy the pictures. We were able to stop off in some of the small towns where Kathy's ancestors were from the one headstone is Kathy's great grandmother, it was lots of fun tramping around southern Utah.

Roasting Marshmellows over the fire were very good. We finally had to put them away or Katelyn may have eaten the whole bag.
Cameron loved being outside playing on the lawn and watching his Dad, Mother and Grandpa fish.

Katelyn finally got her bike we got her for christmas. We put it together. She then had lots of fun riding it.
It has been really nice having family around this week!

We were excited to see Ben and Erin's new Baby boy, what a beautiful baby! So glad that mother and baby are both doing well. We all got to hold him, and watch as Ben changed his diaper. (He needs practice) I will leave all the details to Ben and Erin on their blog. Enjoy the pictures.
